I’ve referred to the development of the LS3/5X compact, high performance hi-fi speaker in blog posts here and here, but now it is alive and available for direct sale it has some dedicated website pages of its own. Click on the LS3/5X logo to find them.
There’s a picture and technical specification below to whet the appetite. Please feel free to ask questions.

Of course the specification numbers don’t tell the important part of the story. Subjectively, the LS3/5X is an extravagantly detailed and revealing speaker with a neutral tonal balance, pinpoint image focus, minimal colouration and a remarkable ability to play loud. Its closed box low frequency loading and consequently slow roll-off also means it can play surprisingly deep bass. The role of a hi-fi speaker is to stay out of the way of the music by simply reproducing the input signal, adding or erasing nothing. That’s the LS3/5X.
